I have tried so many different bathtub splash guards to stop water from getting out of the tub, and, with all my experimenting, there has been no better solution than the Tidee Tubb Splash Guard.

When you have 3 young kids, the only time-saving solution is to bathe them all together at the same time. However, this comes with several problems: Kids fighting over toys, kids moving around and, of course, too much water leaving the bathtub.

That’s where the Tidee Tubb Splash Guard comes in need. It’s really the best bathtub splash guard on the market that does the best job of keeping water off the floor… and in the tub.

The Tidee Tubb Splash Guard will literally save the day, and also save you tons of money on bathroom repairs. Kids move so much in the bath, they splash, they jump — the water gets everywhere.

The Tidee Tubb should fix that problem, but if you’re looking for something more, check out these other products that may help you just as well.

Best Bathtub Splash Guard Overall: Tidee Tubb Splash Guard

tidee-tubb-bathtub-splash-guard

The Tidee Tubb Splash Guard isn’t like all the other shower splash guards you’ll find out there. This clear bathtub splash guard is guaranteed to keep water from escaping the bathtub with its unique curve design.

More than likely, you’ve probably seen these types of splash guards before, and probably haven’t thought of them as the perfect solution for splashing toddlers. But, I’ve got to tell you, this bathtub splash guard has GREATLY reduced the amount of water that used to flood my bathroom floors after every bath.

(Now I just have to leave a towel on the floor, and it collects the small amount of water that flies out of the tub here and there.)

Let me tell you how this bathtub splash guard works — It works by allowing the water (that spills onto the sides of the tub) to flow right back into the bathtub. It does this by securely attaching to the sides and edges of your bathtub making it impossible for water to spill over. But the curved design is what really insures that no water leaves the tub.

We all know how kids love sitting their toys on the edge of the tub, and how much water pours onto the sides when they’re swimming like little fishes — Well, this is exactly the type of situation the Tidee Tubb Splash Guard will fix. Believe me, you’ll wish you’d found it sooner.

Pros:

  • Curved design allows water to flow back into tub
  • 2 Ultra clear plastic splash guards
  • Large tube of clear caulk included

Cons:

  • Length of curve too long for some bathtubs

Best Barrier Bathtub Splash Guard: Duzzy Shower Dam

shower-dam-shower-guard

The Duzzy Shower Dam isn’t exactly a splash guard, but it can help you control where the water is heading. You can place the shower dam directly on the sides of the bathtub, or you can place it on the inside of the bathroom entrance to prevent water from getting out of your bathroom.

The shower dam gives you 66 inches of length and is 2 inches high with a 1 inch width. You can do a lot with 66 inches of water resistant material. The shower dam is made of rubber so you can bend it in any which way you’d like. You can also easily cut the rubber into individual pieces with a kitchen knife or pair of scissors.

No glue is needed, there is adhesive applied to the bottom of the rubber. All you need to do is peel the paper off the adhesive and apply the shower dam on a clean dry area. It will stick to any flooring or walls and is completely water and steam proof.

I found this splash guard especially effective for controlling where water flows. With my kids, lots of water pours over the sides of the tub. Sometimes, water even trails out of the bathroom. Applying this shower dam close to the tub will allow you to easily clean the water.

All you’ll need to do is place a towel on the inside of the shower dam barriers to catch the water, and if the towel becomes soaked, the shower dam will keep the water from moving to any other part of your bathroom. It’s that simple.

Pros:

  • Easy, mess-free installation
  • 66 inches of material can be cut for different areas
  • Soft rubber bends when stepped on to prevent trips and falls

Cons:

  • Adhesive will not restick a second time

Best Versatile Bathtub Splash Guard: Blue Ginkgo Sink Splash Guard

sink-splash-guard

For our next review, I’ve chosen the Blue Ginkgo Sink Splash Guard for its versatility and overall great quality. Even though this is advertised as a kitchen splash guard, it can also be used as a bathtub or shower splash guard. The bottom of the product is one big suction cup, so it can be placed on any smooth surface.

What’s great is that you can keep it on your sink for the most part, and when it’s bath time for the little ones, place it on the edge of your bathtub. This splash guard is designed to keep water from getting your clothes wet while using the sink, so it will work the same for keeping water off the bathroom floor.

However, the downside of this splash guard is the fact that it only measures around 20 inches long. A standard bathtub is around 60 inches long from corner to corner. Although, if you were to combine this splash guard with the Tidee Tubb Splash Guard, you’d have yourself a super effective way to keep water off the floor.

And, it really wouldn’t hurt to purchase both products because the Blue Gingko is actually a sink splash guard. So, you can have one for your tub, and one for your sink that can be used anywhere else you need it.

Pros:

  • Thick, soft silicone material is durable and water resistant
  • Easy to clean
  • Strong suction cup can be placed on any smooth surface

Cons:

  • Measures only 3 inches high and 20 inches long

Best Bathtub Splash Guard for Shower Liner: Magna Lock Magnetic Shower Curtain Sealer

The most effective way to keep water off your bathroom floor is by using a sturdy shower liner. This method works best when you’re taking a shower, but, when you’re bathing your kids, it doesn’t really work that well.

Some kids won’t put up with being closed inside the bathtub, however, there are a few things you can do to solve this issue. And that’s where the Magna Lock Magnetic Shower Curtain Sealer comes in. You simply stick them to each side of your tub, and the magnetic lock holds your shower liner tightly in place.

But first, it helps to have a shower liner that kids approve of, like this WELTRXE EVA Shower Curtain Liner. It’s see-through and super fun to look at so your kids won’t mind being tucked behind it. You can also just use it to cover the tub halfway so your kids don’t feel too closed in.

What’s great about this shower guard is that your kids can splash all they want without you worrying about water soaking the floor.

Pros:

  • Strong magnetic lock holds thick curtains tightly in place
  • 2 pack; one for each side of the tub
  • Strong adhesive

Cons:

  • Adhesive is too strong to remove once it’s been set down

What to Look For When Purchasing a Bathtub Splash Guard for Your Kids Bathtime

Deciding which baby bath splash guard works best for you will depend on a few factors. It isn’t always about which works best to keep water at bay. You should always consider your situation, and how well that product can help you without causing more issues.

Here are a few things to keep in mind when making your decision:

How Splashy are Your Kids?

If your kids are splashing too much, it may be best to get more protection. The sides of the tub are always the best place to start, but if your kids are heavy splashers, you may need more coverage than that.

Why do babies like to splash in the bath, anyways? And, How do you keep kids from splashing water in the bathtub? Kids love splashing in the bath because it’s fun! The best thing to do is to give them toys that can distract them from wanting to splash so much.

And try not to be too hard on them about it. For kids, bath time is fun time, not clean time.

How Big is Your Bathtub?

Always look at measurements before purchasing any product for your bathtub. There’s always a chance that something won’t fit, or might be awkward fitting. Measure your tub and where you’ll be installing the bathtub splash guard.

You can also read reviews to see if anyone with the same bathtub (shape and size) as you has written about their experience with the product.

How Safe is the Product for Your Kids?

Any bathtub splash guard for toddlers needs to be safe. Make sure there isn’t any way your kids will be able to get hurt from these products. Also make sure that these are products your kids won’t be able to play with or break.

As I said above, if you read through reviews, you might be able to find people in your situation who have written about their experience.

Takeaway

In the end, the choice is yours to make. Though, hopefully we’ve helped you narrow down your decision in choosing the best bathtub splash guard for your kids.

However, I can confidently say that the Tidee Tubb Splash Guard has worked the best for me and my kids. So, there’s a pretty good chance it will work great for your kids, too.
